Traffic jams in Hyderabad

Views

These days, traffic jams have become common in Hyderabad. It is a hell to travel in the roads of the city especially, in the evening time. Lots and lots of vehicles are coming to the roads daily which increase the risk of traffic jam.
When rain occurs on a day, it makes the situation worse. One cant expect to reach home early and a lot of time is wasted just in moving few files ahead.
It is also a problem for the patients travelling in ambulances when they get stopped in traffic jams.

The AP government has not taken sufficient measures for the prevention of heavy traffic jams for many years. Every year, many vehicles are coming to roads but the roads are not widened up. Flyovers can reduce the problem a bit, though, but not sufficient. And every person wants to have his/her own vehicle and many people have the habit of maintaining more than one vehicle in their home, probably one for each job holder in their home. I hope traffic havoc is not going to stop in the near future, with many vehicles coming to city roads daily, but the road is limited.
People want to reach fast to their destinations and this causes jams and violation of rules.
So how to prevent traffic jams? Well, we have to follow certain measures for avoiding traffic jams frequently in the city.

1. Everyone has to follow the traffic rules, be it a leader or a labourer. The people violating the rules must be fined immediately on the road.
2. There must be sufficient traffic constables for each junction in the city, who are skilled and efficient in handling traffic.
3. Ambulances must be given immediate side on the road, as the patient inside may be in a critical condition.
4. No permissions must be given for rallies, meetings, parties or show-ups in the busy roads. Better to have a common place for all of these, which is rid of traffic.
5. Passengers must be educated properly on the traffic rules, and they must be aware of the fact that everyone needs to follow traffic rules and extend support from their side. They should leave the thought of driving fastly or reaching early, and think of others' comfort, along with their safety.
6. Roads must be divided into very narrow lanes such that only 2 vehicles can pass at a time. Also speed breakers must be employed for every kilometer. So every driver has to go slowly. This prevents accidents.
7. It is recommended to use public transport facility to the maximum extent rather than using individual vehicles, and also carry along one member of our family with us (without using their own vehicles.
8. Roads must be widened wherever necessary and more flyovers must be built.
9. Better to avoid large vehicles in the city roads as they cause inconvenience to other vehicles and cause jams.
10. We should invent such a personal vehicle that goes at a maximum speed of 30 kmph and which is small and handy. Then no accidents and jams and we enjoy safe driving.
